1. Agreement
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and NJK TECH LLC. They cover rloka.com, community.rloka.com, and related pages, emails, and community features (the “Service”).
By creating an account, clicking join, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you use the Service for an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization, and “you” includes it.
2. Who we are
The Service is operated by:
NJK TECH LLC
30 N Gould St, STE R
Sheridan, WY 82801
United States
“rLoka,” “we,” “us,” and “our” mean NJK TECH LLC. We are a United States company. The Service is built for adults in Canada, starting with Toronto and Vancouver, and is operated from the United States. A Canadian company and a Canadian payment gateway are planned for later. Until then, NJK TECH LLC is the contracting party.
Questions go to Contact@rloka.com.
3. Who can join
You may use the Service only if all of the following are true:
- You are at least 19 years old. Nineteen is the age of majority in every Canadian province and territory. It is 19 in British Columbia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, and Yukon, and 18 in the others. We use 19 so the rule fits all of adult Canada.
- You are not a resident of Québec. The Service is not launched in Québec and is not offered there.
- You can form a binding contract.
- You are not barred from using the Service under United States, Canadian, or other applicable law.
We may ask you to confirm your age and province. We do not knowingly allow accounts for anyone under 19 or for residents of Québec. If we learn an account breaks either rule, we will close it.
The Service is designed for South Asians building a life in Canada. You do not have to prove heritage to join. You may not use the Service to harass people because of race, ethnicity, religion, sex, gender identity, or any other ground.
4. The Service
rLoka is a community product. It lets members create a profile, find people and groups, hear about events, and message other members. Joining is free. No credit card is required today.
We do not guarantee matches, friendships, event attendance, jobs, housing, immigration outcomes, or that any member is who they say they are. Workshops or posts about life in Canada are general community information, not legal, immigration, tax, medical, or financial advice. Do not rely on another member, or on rLoka, as your professional adviser.
Features can change. Groups, events, messaging, and organization tools may be limited, delayed, or removed. A marketplace of businesses is described on the website and is not live. We will update these Terms before paid features or that marketplace launch.
5. Your account
You must give a real name, a working email, and a username, and you must choose a password. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at Contact@rloka.com if you believe someone else has used it.
The male, female, and LGBTQ+ registration paths place you in the community space you select. That choice is yours. We do not verify it. Do not choose a path to enter a space you were not invited into, and do not misuse a path to harass members.
City and profile details should be accurate enough for local discovery. Do not impersonate another person, and do not create an account for someone else without their permission.
One person, one account, unless we approve otherwise in writing. We may reclaim a username that infringes someone’s rights or confuses members.
6. Community rules
You may not:
- Break the law, or help someone else break it
- Harass, threaten, stalk, or dox another person
- Post sexual content involving anyone under 18, or sexualize a minor in any way
- Post intimate images of someone without their consent
- Scam, phish, or misrepresent a business, charity, or event
- Send spam, chain messages, or unsolicited commercial blasts to members
- Scrape, crawl, or harvest member data, or use the Service to train a model, without our written permission
- Probe, overload, or bypass security or access controls
- Upload malware or content you have no right to share
- Use the Service if you are under 19 or a Québec resident
We may remove content, limit features, or close an account that breaks these rules or that we reasonably believe creates a safety risk. We are not obligated to monitor every message or post.
7. Meetups and offline contact
Events, coffees, sports, and other meetups are organized by members or by organizations, not as supervised rLoka activities, unless we expressly say that rLoka is the host. If you meet someone from the Service, you do so at your own risk.
We do not run background checks. We do not control what happens at a café, park, home, campus, or other venue. You are responsible for your own travel, safety, and decisions. Tell a friend where you are going. Leave if you feel unsafe.
rLoka is not a party to agreements you make with another member, including rides, housing, tickets, or paid services. Disputes between members are between those members.
8. Your content and messages
You keep ownership of text, photos, and other material you submit (“Your Content”). You give NJK TECH LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute Your Content only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the Service, including showing it to members according to your settings.
That license ends when you delete the content or close your account, except for copies in backups for a limited cycle, content other members have already shared or replied to, and copies we must keep for safety or legal reasons. The Privacy Policy explains retention.
Direct messages are visible to the people in the conversation. We may review messages if we receive a report, if we need to investigate abuse, or if the law requires it. Do not send sensitive documents, such as passports or immigration files, through the Service.
You represent that you have the rights to Your Content, and that it does not violate these Terms or anyone else’s rights.
9. Businesses and organizations
Temples, student clubs, cultural organizations, and other groups may later create communities, list events, or offer workshops. Those tools are not a promise that a listing is vetted, licensed, or suitable for you. An organization is responsible for its own events, staff, and claims.
If we open paid organization plans, those plans will have a price, a billing description, and any extra terms posted before you are charged. Nothing in these Terms obliges you to pay today.
10. Payments
The Service is free to join. We do not ask for a card and we do not charge membership fees today.
If we later charge for memberships, tickets, or organization plans, payment will be processed by a third-party gateway contracted with NJK TECH LLC in the United States, until a Canadian gateway is in place. We will name the gateway, the price, and the renewal terms before a charge. You authorize only the charges we disclose at checkout. Taxes may apply.
Unless a non-waivable consumer law says otherwise, fees already earned are non-refundable except where we say so at purchase or where we are required to refund.
11. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect and how we use it. Account data is handled in the United States. The Service is not offered in Québec. Privacy requests and general questions go to Contact@rloka.com.
12. Our intellectual property
rLoka, the site design, and our marks are owned by NJK TECH LLC or its licensors. These Terms do not give you any right in our brand except a limited right to use the Service while your account is in good standing. Do not copy the site, use our name in a way that suggests a partnership, or frame the Service without permission.
If you believe content on the Service infringes your copyright, email Contact@rloka.com with the URL, a description of the work, and your contact details. We may remove the material and, where appropriate, close repeat infringers’ accounts.
13. Suspension and ending
You may stop using the Service and ask us to close your account at Contact@rloka.com. Closure does not erase content that other members already have, or records we must keep, as the Privacy Policy describes.
We may suspend or close an account, or stop offering the Service, if you break these Terms, if we must do so to comply with law, or if we discontinue a feature. We will give notice when it is reasonable and safe to do so.
Sections that by their nature should survive, including content licenses already granted, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms, survive closure.
14. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, quiet enjoyment, and non-infringement, and any warranty that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that members are safe, accurate, or trustworthy.
Some provinces do not allow certain disclaimers. If you are a consumer in Canada, you may have rights that these Terms cannot take away. Those rights still apply.
15. Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, NJK TECH LLC and its members, managers, and contractors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or the cost of substitute services, arising out of the Service, a meetup, or member content.
Our total liability for a claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of 100 US dollars or the amount you paid us for the Service in the three months before the claim. If you have paid nothing, the cap is 100 US dollars.
These limits do not apply to liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for gross negligence or willful misconduct where a statute forbids a cap, and they do not limit non-waivable consumer rights in your province.
You will indemnify NJK TECH LLC against claims, damages, and reasonable legal fees arising from Your Content, your misuse of the Service, a meetup you host, or your breach of these Terms, except to the extent caused by our own legal fault.
16. Law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, excluding conflict-of-law rules, and by the laws of the United States where they apply. Subject to the next paragraph, the state and federal courts located in Wyoming are the exclusive venue for disputes arising out of these Terms or the Service, and you consent to that venue.
If you are a consumer resident in a Canadian province where we offer the Service, you may also have the right to bring a claim in your province, and mandatory consumer-protection statutes of that province still apply. Nothing in these Terms limits a right that those statutes say cannot be limited. The Service is not offered in Québec, and these Terms are not a Québec consumer contract.
Before filing a claim, email Contact@rloka.com with a short description and give us 30 days to try to resolve it. This informal step is not required where waiting would bar a claim under a limitation period.
17. Changes
We may update these Terms. We will post the new version on this page and change the effective date. If a change is material, we will give notice by email or in the Service before it applies. If you keep using the Service after the effective date, you accept the update. If you do not agree, close your account.
If we launch in Québec, open paid plans, or move the contracting party to a Canadian company, we will update these Terms first.
